“Wow, that was awesome.”
My client said this to me after the conclusion of an intense four-hour hearing last week in which I got him possession of his child after years of being denied access by the other parent.
I thought, why did he say that? I have good trial skills but don’t think of myself as the best. But I need to give myself more credit. Twelve years of family law courthouse experience have given me the skills to strategize, prepare, and tough it out at high-stakes hearings where people’s family relationships are on the line. I earned that praise and the hard work was on behalf of a worthy client and family.
