What is an uncontested divorce?
It means you and your spouse agree on all of the terms of the divorce. It does NOT mean you agree on getting a divorce but still have small or large disputes over child custody, child support, property division, and other things.
This applies to non-divorce family law matters too such as suits affecting the parent-child relationship (unmarried people who have children together).
It is okay to disagree, and there are things you should not compromise on, such as child safety. Many disputes can be figured out informally or through mediation with an independent mediator without having to go to court for a final trial.
